All members of our team play an important role in the function of our hospital and this includes our customer service representatives. As a CSR, your daily responsibilities may include:

• Scheduling appointments
• Answering the phone
• Setting up new clients and patients
• Preparing and maintaining patients’ medical records
• Admitting and discharging patients
• Filling prescriptions
• Handling over the counter sales, mailings, and computer operation
• Managing financial transactions and filing
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the front office and reception area
• Obtaining the medical and legal information related to their tasks

A veterinary assistant works closely with our veterinarians to provide the necessary care for our patients. A veterinary assistant’s responsibilities may include the following:

• Patient handling and control
• Bathing and grooming
• Laundry
• Kennel work
• Waste disposal
• Patient monitoring and care
• Helping with X-rays
• Receiving pets for hospital care or medical boarding
• Retrieving pets to go home
• Consistent client communication
• Aiding the technicians and doctors with any treatments, medications, or any other services necessary
